![]() One notable difference in the digital charts vs the physical charts is the absence of PS5 games. 55% of Call of Duty's download sales were on Xbox, while almost 58% of Assassin's Creed's digital sales were on Microsoft's machines. In fact, because of the launch of the new Xbox consoles, both Assassin's Creed Valhalla and Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War were downloaded most on Microsoft's consoles over PlayStation 4, which is not something we would see in a typical week considering the higher PS4 install base in the UK. The Ubisoft game has been a phenomenal success, and its position as one of the main Xbox Series X/S launch title appears to have paid off. In fact, the first week digital download sales alone for Valhalla are more than what digital and physical did combined for Odyssey. Even so, digital download sales for Valhalla are more than 200% higher than the last game in the franchise, 2018's Assassin's Creed Odyssey. Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed Valhalla is one of just a few new games that have been released in recent months that sold better as a physical release than a digital one. It's worth remembering, of course, that a free-to-play Call of Duty battle royale game was released earlier this year, and it continues to be a big success, which may have impacted sales. However, if we now add in digital downloads (as predicted earlier in the week), Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War would have comfortably been No.1, with Assassin's Creed Valhalla coming in at No.2.ĭespite the digital success, when combining digital and physical together, the new Call of Duty's sales are still down over 16% compared with last year's entry. ![]() Black Ops Cold War sold 64% fewer copies at launch in a box compared with last year's Modern Warfare (GfK data), which meant that for the first time in 13 years the game failed to top the UK boxed charts. It follows a disappointing physical retail performance for the game. ![]() Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War had a huge first week as a digital download in the UK.ĭownload launch sales are up almost 39% compared with last year's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare release, according to the latest GSD download report. ![]()

![]() ![]() Given that the GeForce GTX 1060 is the most widely used card on Steam’s hardware survey, this is likely to be a fairly widespread issue. Owners of other cards have chimed into the same post, with one running an EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 FTW GPU, however it is unclear if the user is experiencing the exact same issue. The reason for the issue is currently unknown, however the Nvidia community forums suggest that it is primarily GeForce GTX 1060 owners that are having the problems. Unfortunately, it’s causing more trouble than its worth for some users, with many reporting that they are suffering from continuous installation failures. Original story (27/04/18): With the release of BattleTech and Frostpunk comes Nvidia’s 397.31 Game Ready drivers, aiming to optimise performance across its range of graphics cards. Nvidia is on the case, however, and it shouldn’t be too long before the problem is put firmly behind us, even if it has taken a full week to address. On top of previous reports that an EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 FTW GPU owner has claimed to be affected, the thread containing Nvidia’s response shows that the issues can affect almost anyone from a GTX 980 up. Some required a full wipe using Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU), a third-party software designed to rigorously clean systems from graphical drivers.Įven though GeForce GTX 1060 users are getting the brunt of it, owners of other models aren’t coming out unscathed. Rolling back has been proven to work, but not always via a smooth process. For now, it’s advised that those affected should “disable and then re-enable your GPU” within the device manager, causing the driver to reload, and possibly “revert back to driver 391.35 until our new driver is released with a fix.” I understand how inconvenient it is,” reads Nvidia’s reply. “We will be releasing a new driver very soon with a fix for this. Nvidia has now responded to the community’s complaints, assuring them that a fix is on its way “very soon.” Update (4/5/18):Last week, GeForce GTX 1060 users reported that Nvidia’s latest 397.31 was causing issues with installation, looping them into an endless cycle of failures and restarts. ![]() ![]() (2) Support export to PDF, BMP, JPG and PNG, and share it to anyone freely
